Ashley's 12th Birthday

On Saturday, April 18th, Ashley turned 12 years old. It is so hard to believe my kids are growing up so fast (I now have three in Young Women's). She had a slumber party the night before. They made homemade pizzas, watch the movie Bedtime Stories, and stayed up until 1 a.m. Ashley received a lot of gift cards from her friends and is anxious to go shopping!

These are the cupcakes Amber made for Ashley's party. Each one reprsents a little girl sleeping in a sleeping bad. A close-up of a few is below!

These are Ashley's friends that came. Some from school and some from her softball team.

Ashley also had a softball game on her birthday. Her team is Blue Thunder. She plays first base and this is only her first year playing. She shows some natural ability!

Ashley getting advice from Coach Joe after stealing 2nd and 3rd base. She eventually stole home and scored! She also received the game ball that day for some great plays she made. The bad thing was the pitcher of the other team hit her twice. The one on the leg left a softball size bruise for a couple weeks.

That evening, we went to Hometown Buffet (an all you can eat buffet). We really had a great time. The monkeys above were one of her favorite gifts!

Bear and money from Nana Nelson.
